Casillero del Diablo is CO2 Neutral at “Cumbre de Sustentabilidad 2013”

Concha y Toro vineyard, with more than a century dedicated to the production of superior wines, has established itself as the leading company in Latin America and the most important vineyards in the world.

In 2013, and for the third consecutive year, it was recognized as the World’s Most Admired Wine Brand and its shipments currently reach more than 137 countries.

The company, in its commitment with the environment and in collaboration with ProChile, has neutralized the greenhouse gas emissions of 3 boxes of its renowned premium wine, Casillero del Diablo, destinated to the VIP Lunch of the Sustainability Summit 2013, carried out by Capital Magazine In conjunction with ProChile.

A total of 24 bottles of Casillero del Diablo with their corresponding emissions  has been neutralized from the crop to final destination. Among the considered sources we can find fuels of fixed and mobile sources, loads of refrigerants, fertilizers, emissions of the soil, electricity, oenological and agricultural products, complete packaging, all the chain of transport, among others.

Viña Concha y Toro obtained the certification CO2 Neutral under the international standard SCX | Bolsa de Clima de Santiago, through the purchase of Chilean carbon bonds, generated by the central Lircay.
