Tur-Bus Airport Services Neutralize their CO2 Emission

Tur Bus, passenger transportation company in Chile, which operates more than 60 years ago, connecting destinations within Chile and neighboring countries, developing their service Airport in September 2000 to meet the need to transfer to or from the Arturo Merino Benitez Airport, principal Air Terminal Santiago de Chile.

This service has an exclusive fleet to transport passengers, available every day of the year, between the airport and Santiago, with a journey that lasts for 45 minutes estimted.

As part of its new challenges in sustainability, the company has incorporated environmental and social variables in such a way to provide a responsible service. In this context, it is developing measurement programs and neutralization of carbon footprint, energy efficiency and waste management plan. In the social field, it has established sustainable links with their environment with economic enterprise initiatives and investment in public spaces.

This year, 2015, Tur Bus has decided to neutralize carbon emissions associated with the airport service , in which they measured, quantify and verified their emissions , to obtain SCX certification. To neutralize the emissions Tur Bus has selected a set of Latin American projects, which contribute to the conservation and development of renewable energy. The selected projects are:
