The project design consists of two intakes, two pressure pipelines of approximately 3 km each, 2 powerhouses, 2 Francis turbines plus 1 Pelton turbine and transmission line to the grid connection point, among other things.<\/p>\n<p>The project has been operational since September 2018 and is registered under the Verified Carbon Standard (VCS). The implementation of this hydroelectric project displaces the electricity production of thermoelectric power plants currently operating in the system and contributes to the reduction of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.
