The Carbon Footprint of the event was measured by Fundaci\u00f3n Chile, verified by KPMG and neutralized by SCX, Santiago Climate Exchange, with carbon credits from the national project Central Hidroel\u00e9ctrica Lircay.<\/span><\/p>\n

According to Article 12 of the Convention, signatory Parties must provide the Secretariat with information relevant to climate change through their National Communications.<\/span><\/p>\n

    In 2000, Chile submitted its First National Communication to the Secretariat of the Convention and in 2011 the Second National Communication was submitted. In addition to generating studies and carrying out the information gathering required to produce the Communication, this initiative also serves to increase the capacity of Chilean Government institutions, and other participating institutions, to better analyze various aspects related to climate change.
