However, after certifying the use of renewable energies and incorporating state-of-the-art N\u2082O abatement technology in the nitrate production process, the plant reduced these emissions to 0.107 tCO2e per ton produced and packaged of Prillex Zero (which will be offset by carbon credits). This initiative is part of an ongoing effort by Enaex to reduce the carbon footprint of its operations. Thus, in a period of 14 years and through the implementation of several projects under the Clean Development Mechanism standard in its Nitric Acid plants, the company has managed to reduce CO2e emissions, thus supporting the decarbonization of the mining industry.
