El dise\u00f1o del proyecto consiste en dos bocatomas, dos tuber\u00edas de presi\u00f3n de 3 km aproximadamente cada una, 2 casas m\u00e1quinas, 2 turbinas Francis m\u00e1s 1 turbina Pelton y l\u00ednea de transmisi\u00f3n hasta el punto de conexi\u00f3n a la red, entre otras cosas.<\/p>\n<p>El proyecto est\u00e1 operativo desde septiembre de 2018 y est\u00e1 registrado bajo los est\u00e1ndares Verified Carbon Standard (VCS). La implementaci\u00f3n de este proyecto hidroel\u00e9ctrico desplaza la producci\u00f3n el\u00e9ctrica de centrales termoel\u00e9ctricas que actualmente operan en el sistema y contribuye con la reducci\u00f3n de emisiones de gases de efecto invernadero (GEI).
