From 2020, all last-mile shipments will be carbon neutral, a pioneering measure that is becoming increasingly relevant in the face of the sustained growth of e-commerce and new forms of consumption.

To offset the emissions associated with transporting products to the customer’s home, Sodimac acquires carbon credits from renewable energy generation projects developed in Chile, registered under international standards. In this way, the company not only mitigates its footprint, but also directly supports the decarbonization of the national energy matrix.

This process is certified and verified by the Santiago Climate Exchange (SCX), which awards the CO₂ Neutral Seal, guaranteeing traceability, compliance and transparency of climate action.

In addition to this initiative, Sodimac promotes multiple actions within its environmental management program, aimed at reducing the impact of its operations and promoting environmental care among its customers, employees and communities.
