The companies Sitrans, Mintral and El Libertador, which make up the agency’s operation in Antofagasta providing logistics services to the mining industry, have joined forces within their business model focused on sustainability.
By virtue of this commitment, for the period 2024 they have certified the carbon neutrality (scopes 1 and 2) of the Antofagasta Business Site, reflecting their constant aspiration to be efficient, profitable businesses that are in balance with society and care for the ecosystem.

- The installation of more than 460 photovoltaic panels, contributing more than 250 kWp to the agency’s electricity consumption.
- Almost the entire fleet with electric forklifts, with a gradual plan to reach a 100% electric fleet.
- The expansion of ELB’s fleet of tractors with low-emission technology, including one of the first electric tractors on the market.
- The implementation of sustainable consumption solutions, such as the reuse of water, the purchase of renewable energies, the reuse of packaging and the replacement of lighting fixtures with more efficient models.
In addition, recent milestones include obtaining the Chile Footprint Seals in the quantification and reduction stages, as well as the progressive incorporation of clean energy in several of its agencies, reaffirming its commitment to the transition towards cleaner and more environmentally responsible operations.
These actions consolidate Sitrans, Mintral and ELB as benchmarks in sustainable management and decarbonization within the logistics and mining sector, demonstrating that efficiency, technological innovation and ecosystem protection can move forward together.
