COPEC, as part of its Climate Change Strategy, establishes among its commitments that all service stations must be carbon neutral and that their energy supply must come from renewable energy sources.

Through the SCX Certification, 100% Renewable Electricity Consumption, COPEC has committed for the next few years, to 2025, to prioritize in its energy purchasing policies, those from certified renewable sources, and when it is not possible to directly provide a renewable supply, either from its own generation or from third parties, to supplement the remaining volume through the acquisition of internationally recognized renewable attribute certificates, until completing the total volume of consumption of its service stations.
By the end of 2021, 62 of its Service Stations (SDS) and 5 of its plants are already supplied with certified renewable electricity from the contract signed with the Cerro Dominador solar complex, while the rest of the SDS are being compensated for their emissions through carbon credits.
