Concha y Toro’s subsidiary offices in Sweden, Finland, Norway and Brazil obtained their CO2 neutral certificate in April 2012, which meant that 762 tons of CO2 were neutralized. The internal estimate was carried out in 2011 and recorded all greenhouse gas emissions generated by energy consumption, fuels and office activities. Of the total emissions, 645 tons of CO2 correspond to the Brazil office and 117 to the offices in the Nordic countries.

After external verification, the 2011 emissions were neutralized through the Santiago Climate Exchange (SCX).

The carbon credits acquired correspond to the BAESA hydroelectric power plant renewable energy project, located in southern Brazil. These credits were certified under the VCS standard, which guarantees the generation of environmental and social benefits from the implementation of this project.
