Viña Concha y Toro, with more than a century dedicated to the production of superior quality wines, has established itself as the leading company in Latin America and one of the most important wineries in the world. In 2013, and for the third consecutive year, it was recognized as the World’s Most Admired Wine Brand and its shipments currently reach more than 137 countries. The company, in its commitment to the environment and in collaboration with ProChile, has neutralized the greenhouse gas emissions of 3 cases of its renowned premium wine Casillero del Diablo, destined for the VIP luncheon of the Sustainability Summit 2013, organized by Capital Magazine in conjunction with ProChile.

In total there are 24 Casillero del Diablo bottles and their corresponding neutralized emissions from cultivation to final destination. Within the sources considered we can find fuels from stationary and mobile sources, refrigerant charges, fertilizers, soil emissions, electricity, oenological and agricultural products, complete packaging, the entire transportation chain, among others.

Viña Concha y Toro obtained CO2 Neutral certification under the international standard SCX | Santiago Climate Exchange by acquiring Chilean carbon credits generated by the Lircay run-of-river power plant.
