Chilexpress is a Chilean company that provides national and international courier services; money transfers; collections; logistics and transportation, among others, for institutional clients, companies, individuals and entrepreneurs. During 2021, it will launch a new cycle of ESG (environmental, social and corporate governance) sustainability commitments.

In 2020, Chilexpress met the first cycle of its goals established in 2013 for its sustainability strategy, which it developed with advice from Fundación Chile and has developed through its program El Futuro nos Mueve. Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, after seven years the company achieved, among other objectives, a 58.5% reduction in its carbon footprint per package delivered, a figure that far exceeds the 30% reduction set in the program.

This year, 2021, and committed to being a company that can generate a real change and positive impact for both society and the environment and, at the same time, develop an increasingly sustainable business for customers, employees, communities and investors, launches its commitment to be carbon neutral by 2035 with a roadmap that sets short, medium and long term goals. This goal setting will allow us to outline the roadmap where all efforts will be made to reduce their emissions and whatever they fail to reduce, they will compensate with national projects with a positive social, environmental and economic impact.

The commitment to carbon neutrality by 2035 and zero waste to landfill by 2025 will be announced at an event to be held on October 27 at the San Bernardo distribution center in Santiago, which will be carbon neutral, thus beginning the commitment to mitigate emissions from its activities.
